One year ago today, January 20th 2015, One Life to Give-Living Water for Thirsty Souls was released by Christian Book Publisher, Xulon Press. I wish to take this opportunity to thank the many friends, family, and facebook followers in the success of this new adventure. I also wish to thank all of you for your prayers and for those who have purchased copies, wrote reviews, and shared many kind words of encouragement.
It has been a fast year of events connected with this book’s release and I’d like to share some of the more significant things that have happened with it.
Within a few days, the publisher produced a very excellent Book Trailer and many of you probably saw it on facebook. They also wrote the first Press Release which was sent out to several hundred Christian bookstores across America. Our local newspapers printed that Press Release as well. The following is a brief list of book-related activities/events:
March 5th: the first radio interview came via The Light Radio Network in Vermont. During the same interview, a Writers’ Seminar invitation was briefly discussed.
April 18th: a more in-depth Planning Meeting for the seminar was held and the date for the Seminar was set for June 13th.
April 23rd: I was interviewed by the ALIVE Radio Network in upstate New York.
May 2nd: A book signing event took place at my hometown bookstore: Misty Valley Books.
May 27th – May 29th: One Life to Give was featured as a new book release at the Book Expo America Trade Show in New York City.
June 13th: The Writers’ Seminar in Montpelier, VT was held with 36 people in attendance.
June 24th – July 1st: The book was on display at the International Christian Retail Show in Orlando, FL. The Press Release announcement went national to 150 Christian News Media Outlets across America.
Sept. 21st-23rd: One Life to Give was featured at the Fall Christian Product Expo in Nashville, TN, just in time for the Christmas buying season for Christian bookstore owners.
Oct. 14th– 18th: One Life to Give went international with its appearance at the Frankfurt International Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany.
Oct. 17th: A second Writers’ Seminar was held in Brookfield, VT with 30 in attendance.
Since then, an internet ad and promotional campaign began for the pre-Christmas buying season. That was soon followed by the creation of ads for Cyber Monday through New Year’s Day.

From late October to the present, I have been helping a writer from the first Writers’ Seminar get her manuscript edited and formatted, and it is now ready to be sent to Xulon Press. Perhaps this will be a new door of opportunity in reaching out to others who have good things written, but don’t know where to start. I know that with God, all things are possible!
